In late 2022 Jamal’s creative partner (and Alter Ego) Paris got out of hand, Jamal was forced to do the sensible thing and cancel him. The process involved following Paris around, documenting his behavior, and finally confronting him on FaceTime in front of an audience (which was the only way Paris would show up). The intervention did not go as planned however, as Paris created a new “squeaky clean” persona, to maximize the attention he garnered from his attempted cancellation, and turned it into streams.
